Land contamination may threaten human health and the environment, limit land use potential or increase development costs. Due to our common industrial history, construction developments and urban renewal often encounter some form of hazardous material, soil and/or groundwater contamination which require specialist management to ensure EPA or local government compliance is met. 

We specialise in understanding the legislative framework which is related to each client's project and providing strategic advise to meet compliance while balancing costs. Nviro's Contaminated Land Management team has expert experience with providing field works, reporting and project management for small scale council regulated sites to state significant infrastructure projects.

Our Services include:

• Waste Classifications Utilising Orders and Exemptions -  Identifying and categorizing soil/waste materials to ensure the proper disposal pathways or recycling options are achieved. 
• Preliminary Site Investigations (PSI), Stage 1: These initial assessments are often requested by council prior to DA approval to risk asses the potential contamination of a site due to its land use history.  
• Detailed Site Investigations (DSI), Stage 2 - These report  provide an in-depth analysis with sampling to determine the extent of contamination which was triggered from the PSI assessment. 
• Remediation Action Plans (RAP), Stage 3 - These reports outline the strategies to remediate the extent of contamination determined by the DSI assessment. 
• Validation Assessment and Reports, Stage 4 - This last stage of reporting is used to  verify the success of remediation efforts, ensuring the site is considered suitable for the future proposed land use.
